About the project:

Sugarcreek, Ohio has the privilege of housing the World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock. Previously located at a restaurant called “Alpine-Alpa” in Wilmot, the cuckoo clock was moved to Sugarcreek because its known as the “Little Switzerland of Ohio”. It now sits in the square in downtown Sugarcreek on the corner of Main Street and Broadway. This clock was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records in 1977 measuring in at 23 feet tall and 24 feet wide.

Sugarcreek, OH

Every half hour a cuckoo bird pops out as Swiss polka music plays and a couple dances. The clock is always viewable, but the show does not run in the winter months. Adults and children alike gather to see the World’s Largest Cuckoo Clock, a one of a kind attraction. The cuckoo clock is just one of the many attractions to experience in Sugarcreek.

We chose ForeverLawn® Select Synthetic Grass to install around the clock to allow people to see the clock up close without damaging landscaping or planting areas. The 700 square feet of artificial turf that we strategically placed allows the Village Square and clock display to stay looking fresh all year without much maintenance needed. Since our installation, the Mayor has gotten multiple compliments a day on the artificial grass from ForeverLawn of Ohio.
