About the Project:
When a Dundee, Ohio barn owner lost his barn in an unfortunate fire, they decided to rebuild an even better structure to replace it. Barn owner Dennis Koshmeter happens to be the head coach of the Garaway Pirates girls softball team, so he naturally gravitated towards a sports-centered barn rebuild.
Location:
Dundee, Ohio
Project Type:
Indoor batting cage
From the outside this looks like an ordinary, newly built barn, but the inside is not what you’d expect. This beautiful new structure has high ceilings lined with rustic wood panels, numerous skylights, a basketball court, and a fresh new batting cage with premium artificial grass. Since Dennis has a girls softball team to coach and Ohio’s winters don’t allow for playing outside, the girls practice their batting in the barn during the winter. Not only is this barn super fun, but it’s also highly functional!
When Dennis made the decision to install a batting cage in his new barn, he turned to ForeverLawn of Ohio to give his project an extra edge. The professionals at ForeverLawn of Ohio selected SportsGrass® Arena because of its extreme durability and natural feel under the feet. SportsGrass Arena is a turf constructed of short blades specifically designed for indoor fields. The whole job required 1,200 square feet of artificial turf, and was installed in just two days’ time by efficient ForeverLawn of Ohio team members. Now Dennis’ softball team can practice their batting on a premium surface that feels like a real field.
